Petition - Emfuleni Electrical Infrastructure Intervention Program (EIIP)

I am in full support of the EIIP launched by Emfuleni for Change NPC (EfC) and their Associates on 3 July 2020 and wish them all the best in rehabilitating the apocalyptic state of Strategic Assets (Water & Sanitation, Electricity and Roads Infrastructure) in Emfuleni as a matter of utmost urgency.

Business, Ratepayers and Residents of Emfuleni, have had it with being held at ransom for the gross ineptitude, fraud and dereliction of duty of a completely dysfunctional Emfuleni Local Municipality.

The previous appointment of an Administrator in terms of <a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Section 139(1)(b) of the SA Constitution (Mr. Oupa Nkoane) has taken the Emfuleni Local Municipality from very bad to very worse in the space of less than two years. Section 139(1)(b) reads as follows:

assuming responsibility for the relevant obligation in that municipality to the extent necessary to —(i) maintain essential national standards or meet established minimum standards for the rendering of a service; (ii) prevent that Municipal Council from taking unreasonable action that is prejudicial to the interests of another municipality or to the province as a whole; or (iii) maintain economic unity

We, the community of Emfuleni, pledge our support to EfC as a Special Purpose Vehicle (<a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SPV), to Rehabilitate Emfuleni (to restore it to it's previous status as the hub of industry and heavy engineering in Africa), united in an Unstoppable Movement for Positive Change (<a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UMPC). Furthermore, we will hold officials of local government accountable for their actions in support of the United Movement for Constitutional Accountability (<a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UMCA).
